As it is autumn and the weather is unseasonably warm, I decided to stitch up a hat I knitted a winter ago but it had festered with an open seam. In order to stitch up my hat, I needed to find a large needle, a needle with an eye large enough to take wool. You can find such things in wool shops and of course in branches of hickeys.
I did not buy my needle in hickeys, I bought it in Shaws. In so doing, I saved myself one euro and twenty five cents. Something useful to know about Shaws, is that they are an old fashioned store, the are nearly the new Roches Stores minus the grocery department and kitchen wares. They do stock things like wool and knitting needles and sewing items. The wool selection is not great, but it is better than absolutely nothing.

I am looking forward to wearing my new winter hat when the weather turns cold.
