on a perfect day last sunday, munster took on london wasps in the heineken cup semi-final at landsdowne road. it was an agonising day, munster came from behind to lead by ten points with twenty minutes to go, only to have wasps come back to sting them. (pun intended.)
SK took some good pictures which you can view here
i have never been in such a packed or loud landsdowne road. not even for ireland internationals. it was a great day out. before the match the team drove through ballsbridge on their bus. everyone congregated around the pubs stopped to cheer and clap the mighty men in red. a great atmosphere. things were a little quieter apres match. but still, it was a great experience to be there. as one sporting commentator put it
there was more drama in that match than in the entire six nations championship.
even with the loss!
in ireland, you are not allowed to smoke indoors in a workplace any longer.
in japan, they don’t want you smoking outside, but indoors is fine.
truly bizarre how the world works!
