here i am. home again. got off a plane, went to work, left work, came to college (where i am now). tired laura. i haven’t slept for quite a few hours. new york was amazing. the wedding was amazing. sad to be home, would have loved more time there. but everyone has to come back to their own reality.

here in ireland, there is a new person waiting to be met. a new nephew. connor william. brother to sarah.

i am off to New York on saturday for ten days. i am very excited to be going to new york as it is a city i am enthralled by and obssessed with. proof of my obsession is my reading (daily) of the following:
lockhart steele
gawker
ny times
new york metro
various new york bloggers
no other city gets my attention in the same way. i want to live there!!

the occassion for my trip to new york is the wedding of Bruce (my brother) to Kate (my soon to be sister in law). I am very excited about Kate becoming my sister in law. I am happy and thrilled and delira and excira about my impending time there. (and I am typing/sounding all American in preparation for there!!)

The only problem with this whole wedding thing is that all the attention regarding weddings will thereafter be focused on me. eek!! I will be the last unmarried of my siblings and the only girl. My mother thankfully has never let me in on the plans she has made for the wedding of daughter. I am hoping none exist!! The average marriage age in ireland is 26.6 according to one of the last census taken so I am over the hill. I will be seeking a man in new york. I thought maybe gawker personals would be a good place to start. SK will only be too delighted to have me off his hands I am sure as he has no intention of being “tied down” until he is well into his forties (or is that his seventies??). He may be leaving himself open to such questions from my family (extended rather than immediate) when we are there. *he he*
